Band Brothers

This painting depicts two young bachelor stallions roaming freely in the Alberta Rocky Mountains. They belong to the same band, weathering hardships together until one day they may part ways—either as independent leaders of their own mares or with one emerging as the head stallion and the other as his deputy. For now, they remain bonded as brothers, growing stronger and learning the ways of survival side by side. The stunning reference photo was shot by an amazing photographer, Sandy Sharkey.
